Nyavani EAP and Wellness Consultants (PTY) LTD is a 100% black owned company which specializes with Employee Wellness, Mental health and Substance abuse treatment programmes, tailor made to meet and address the needs of our clients. Our programmes help reduce incidences of poor performance, lack of motivation to work, lack of self-belief and trust, personal financial management, how to live a healthy lifestyle, health screenings(prevention and Proactive programmes), work/life balance, high staff turnover, absenteeism and ill health amongst the employees within a company.
The company was established in 2005 but only started operating in 2014. It was formed by Mr Nyiko Mabunda who is a Professionally qualified Social Worker with vast expereince in EHWP due to his exposure while working for various governement departments in the republic of SA. The driving force behind him establishing the company was to bridge the gap that has logn been in existent in the RSA market due to the past aprtheid regime leading to black employees not being apprecaited, cared for and supported by their employers sothe company is aimed at restoring human dif=gnity amongts employees of various clients we serve.

The vision is on “ A leader in provision of innovative integrated professional services in the field of health and wellness, counselling, and mental health services”.
Underlying the vision is the mission statement which seeks to:

3. MANAGEMENT TEAM
CEO: The management team is led by Mr Nyiko Mabunda who is also the founder or the company. He accumulated knowledge, skills and experience in Project Management, HIV and AIDS mainstreaming, Finance for Non-financial Managers, Counseling and Advisory services, Employee Wellness, Mental health, Facilitation, Substance Abuse, Strategic Management both through his studies and work experience while working for the following Government departments in different capacities ie Social Worker at the Limpopo Department of Social Development, Senior Occupational Social Worker for the South African Police Services (SAPS) in North West, Assistant Director Employee Wellness and HIV and AIDS for the National Department of Public Works and lastly as a Deputy Director for the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD). Cumulatively he spent 11 years working for government. Mr Mabunda has also been running a Private Practice specializing in Mental health, Substance and alcohol abuse since 2009 at Netcare Jakaranda hospital in Pretoria in a multi-discipinary team running the whole Psychiatric ward. Besides the formal involvements mentioned above he worked extensively as a guest on various radio and tv stations in the country offering professional advise to the listeners ie Munghana Lonene FM, Power FM, Radio 2000, SABC2 (Vusaseki program), GCR FM, Mala FM and he also run a weekly social media live show on Facebook education the nation about mental health, substance abuse and Employee Wellness.
Director Operations: Mr Rivalani Mkansi is a PHD candidate, he has vast management experience having also obtained 2 Masters degreed namely MBA and Master of Social Work from the North West University. Besides the Postgraduate qualifications mentioned above he also has a degree in Social Work and this gives him an adge when it comes to the industry of EHWP. He has occupied various positions in Government both as a junior and as a Manager so he brings with him into the team vast knowledge, expertise and experience. He si responsible to give strategic direction and also for the management of the whole company employees, he oversees all projects which the company has, h eis also responsible to ensure that the company far exceeds all the set targets with all its employees
Company Secretory: Ms Tintswalo Rikhotso is also a Social Worker by profession and she has been working as a company Secretary for the past 3 years. Her Social Work background help her to fully understand the space in which the company operates as she has a good understanding of Counselling, EHWP and Substance abuse. She is responsible for the administration in the whole company, she is the link between the company and all our clients.
